He governs the Berezov lands in the northern lowlands, the territory that borders the Siverna, Fen's river. Forty thousand people. The ward that protects them runs through the water.
He has a solid bearing, a practical mind, and a family legacy he assumed was built on governance and good luck.
Then he finds what it was actually built on.
He goes to the river. The woman in the water is waiting.
